Uh Oh!

This little bunny might be in for trouble if he doesn't keep those eggs balanced!  Isn't that little bunny too adorable?  He's from the new Springtime set from Hanna Stamps. 

With a little masking, Prismas and gamsol this furry guy has a tall tower of brightly colored eggs to deliver.

Be Original

I adore this cute little lizard image from the new Hanna Stamps set Route 66.  I colored the images with my handy-dandy Prisma pencils and gamsol with colors that matched the Lily Kate (Basic Grey) patterned paper.  The blue lizard is colored with a Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll pen to add some sparkle.  The sentiment was created on my computer and all the doodling was done with a Black Gelly Roll pen.  Easy peasy!

Springtime Lambs

Aren't these lambs adorable?  I'm so in love with this stamp.  You can purchase this set today at Hanna Stamps.

I didn't want all three lambs to face the same direction, so I used a mirror image stamp to create the middle lamb.  If you've never used one before, it is a stamp that is just a big piece of rubber that you stamp your image onto, then you use your newly stamped image to stamp on your card stock.  Doing this will give you a lighter image than your images stamped directly on paper.  To compensate for this, you can either stamp off your direct to paper images before stamping on your card stock or stamp your mirror image on your card stock and then go over the image outline with a fine-tipped pen. 

The ribbon on this card was dyed to match by using a couple of drops of reinker diluted with water.  Instant matching ribbon!

Special Cards for Special Friends

I just realized I've never gotten around to posting a couple of very special Hanna cards I've made for some very special friends.  So without further ado...

I created this card as a thank you to my good friends, Joy and Daisy of Eclectic Paperie.  Anyone who knows them, knows they are special people who go out of their way for others.  They provide an excellent selection of products in their online store, along with wonderful customer service.  Be sure to check them out! 

Hanna's dress is paper pieced and all the coloring is done with Prismas and gamsol.  As you can tell, Hanna has been shopping at Eclectic Paperie and has her arms loaded with lots of bags full of fun eP goodies.

This card was created for Kristi Ferro's (Hanna Stamps) birthday in January.  I had the pleasure of meeting Kristi a few weeks ago at CHA in Anaheim.  She is such a sweetheart!   

When I sat down to make her card, I wanted to do something special for her.  I decided to create a surprise party scene for her using all the Hanna's that had been released at the time. 

I started off by creating masks of all the Hanna's with Eclipse Tape and my exacto knife.  I absolutely love this reusable masking product.  I create my mask once and simply keep it on the plastic sheet along with my acrylic stamps or inside the plastic box for my Stampin' Up! sets.  My masks have all held up beautifully and so far I haven't had to replace any. 

Some of the Hanna's have paper piecing on them and I used Prismas and gamsol to color in the images.  The bling on the umbrella and Hanna's jewelry was done with Stampendous Dot Sparklers, which I got from Eclectic Paperie.

Hanna Bo Peep Sneakity Peek

This card was inspired by an ad I saw for Penny Black in one of my many magazine subscriptions.  I'm not too sure about the outcome, but I had a lot of fun making the card.

I used the Springtime stamps that will be available on Friday.  The more I use this set, the more ideas I seem to come up with.  This set will be perfect for spring, Easter and so many other occasions. 

I embossed Hanna with white embossing powder and bleached out her image.  Once the bleach was dry, I colored her with Prisma colored pencils and Gamsol.  I applied Liquid Applique to the adorable little sheep's heads to give them fluffy, wooly dos.

Live the Legend

Here's another sneak peek of the new Route 66 stamp set by Hanna Stamps that will be available for purchase on Friday, February 22nd.

Some time ago I purchased these Harley Davidson fabric stickers from a local craft store and they've been hiding away in my stash until now.  Aren't they perfect for this set? 

I paper pieced Hanna's saddlebag and pants with a scrap of Brocade Blue card stock that I had stamped with the Just Jeans background stamp inked with Night of Navy in order to pull the denim theme into my main image.

It's a Riley-rama!

I've been stamping up a mess of Riley cards and haven't had a chance to post them yet, but since it is Kristi's (the owner of Hanna Stamps) birthday and she's having a party over at the new Hanna Stamps Forum, I figured I'd get them posted.  Be sure to stop by from 5 - 8 pm EST to wish Kristi a happy birthday and you just might win yourself some of these new Riley stamps that have not yet been released!

Doesn't Riley look so comfy curled up in his easy chair while enjoying some goodies?  For this card I pulled my handy dandy cuttlebug out of the closet, dusted it off, embossed the circle background, then I inked my brayer with Sage Shadow and lightly brayered over the embossed images.   I colored Riley with Stampin' Write markers and an AquaPainter on watercolor paper and finished off the card with a computer generated sentiment and a couple of brads.

Craft ink and embossing powder.  I've gotten so used to using designer patterned paper and then having to match my card stock to the colors in the patterned paper that I'd forgotten how nice it is to be able to create a patterned paper in exactly the color combo I was looking for.

I Love Flowers

I love this adorable kitty image from Penny Black, don't you?  The other day when I was shopping at Target, I saw a sentiment on a card that I knew would go perfectly with this fluffy little guy.

There She Is......Miss Hanna!

The idea for this card popped into my head while I was playing around with another card using the Sweet Celebrations set from Hanna Stamps.  But I was stumped because I couldn't figure out how I could create a crown for our beauty queen.  Well, you never know where you might find the perfect answer to a dilemma.

I went to help my friends Daisy and Joy from Eclectic Paperie take inventory and fill orders last Saturday.  Well, guess what I found while I was there...an acrylic stamp set from Inky Antics that has some wonderful accessories you'll probably be seeing on more Hanna cards! ;)  (I have to confess, that is not all I found that I couldn't live without - I went home with a lot more than I came with.  I've discovered that helping friends with a stamping supply store can be very hazardous to your checkbook.)  So thanks to eP, our beauty queen has her bejeweled crown.

I colored Hanna with Prismas and gamsol (insert big sigh...I wish I had Copics) and paper-pieced her dress using this absolutely stunning shiny gold paper I purchased at the Carson Rubber Stamping Convention.  It is hard to see in the picture, but over the Fine Lace background I spritzed Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist for more added bling.  And of course I can't create a Hanna without her having beautiful jewelry - all created with Gold Stickles.
